Payroll & Reporting
From working day to payroll-ready.
Turn worked hours, breaks, overtime and approved time records into clean information ready for payroll and reporting.
Because scheduling, time and approvals already live in Timento, payroll preparation starts with better data.

Less month-end cleanup
Payroll shouldn't begin with fixing last month's mistakes.
Missing clock-outs, forgotten breaks, incorrect hours and unresolved overtime create work at the worst possible moment. Timento helps managers review working-time information before it reaches payroll.

Clock In · Breaks · Clock Out
The whole working day matters.
Worked time is more than a start and finish time. Breaks, adjustments and overtime affect the final record too.
Clock in
The working day starts with a registered clock in, connected to the employee and the shift.
Paid breaks
Breaks that count as working time stay part of the worked duration.
Unpaid breaks
Breaks that should not be paid are registered and deducted from the worked duration.
Clock out
The end of the working day closes the record so it can be reviewed.
Worked duration
The resulting worked time per shift, per day and per period.
Corrections
Managers can correct a record when something was missed or registered incorrectly.
The complete Clock In · Breaks · Clock Out cycle is described in detail on the Time & Attendance page.

The example above illustrates the kind of information a manager reviews. Fields shown in the product follow your own Timento setup.
Fix it before payroll
Resolve the exception while the context is still fresh.
Most time records are unremarkable. The few that are not should be visible immediately, not discovered on payroll day.

Record states
Pending
Recorded, waiting for a manager to review it.
Approved
Reviewed and accepted as the working-time record.
Rejected
Not accepted as recorded, so it needs follow-up.
Edited
Adjusted by a manager before approval.
Approval keeps responsibility where the context is: with the manager who knows what happened during the shift.
Overtime visibility
See overtime before payroll sees it.
Compare worked hours with expected hours and give managers visibility into overtime before final approval.
Employee overtime
See where extra hours are building up per employee.
Date and period overview
Review overtime for a day, a week or the period you are preparing.
Worked vs expected hours
Compare what was worked with what was expected for the employee.
Overtime totals
Totals for the period so nothing is discovered afterwards.
Warnings
Records that stand out are surfaced for a manager to look at.
Timento gives visibility, calculation where supported, warnings and review. It does not claim automatic compliance with every labour rule or collective agreement , the manager stays in control of the decision.

Explain variance
In developmentA guided breakdown of why Actual Labour Cost differs from Planned Labour Cost is in development. Today, managers can already compare Planned vs Actual using Smart Scheduling, Worked Hours and Overtime.
Possible drivers behind a variance, for example:
- Fewer worked hours than scheduled
- Overtime
- Absence
- Schedule changes after publishing
- Differences in employee cost
- Actuals not yet fully approved

- 06Reports & Insights
Timento moves from "how many hours did people work?" to "what did the plan cost, and what actually happened?"
Labour Cost depends on the pay and rate information available in your workspace. Timento is not payroll software , it helps you understand cost against plan before payroll runs.

Review & Approve
Payroll Ready
Payroll Ready is the bridge between workforce operations and payroll. Timento prepares the working-time information; your payroll or accounting system does the payroll itself.
Export
Move approved hours forward without rebuilding them.
Approved working-time information leaves Timento in a structured format, so nobody has to re-type it into another system.

Understand the workforce
Hours tell a bigger story.
Reports & Insights turns approved working-time information into an overview managers can actually use , including how Planned vs Actual hours and Labour Cost compare for the period.
Worked hours
Worked time across employees and periods.
Employee totals
Totals per employee for the selected range.
Date ranges
Choose the period you need: a week, a month or a payroll period.
Overtime
Where overtime occurred and how much it adds up to.
Attendance information
Attendance across the period, based on registered records.
Payroll data
The approved working-time data used to prepare payroll.
Reports are based on recorded and approved data in your own workspace. Timento does not add forecasting or predictive analytics.
For management
From payroll data to operational insight.
The same approved information that prepares payroll also answers the questions managers ask every period.
- How many hours did we work?
- Where is overtime increasing?
- Which employees are over expected hours?
- What needs approval?
- Which records still contain exceptions?
- What is ready for payroll?
These are questions about what already happened, answered from the records your team created during the working day.
Interoperability
Your data isn't trapped in Timento.
Where supported, managers can export worked-hours and reporting data for further processing outside the platform.
Export is an escape hatch, not the main workflow. The connected Timento flow , record, review, approve, Payroll Ready , is where the value is.

People Management
Payroll data belongs to people, not spreadsheets.
Every approved hour belongs to an employee with a role, a contract setup, availability and leave , not to a row in a file.
Timento keeps the workforce information used to prepare payroll. Your payroll and accounting systems remain the record for pay itself.

Explore IntegrationsBuilt around real work
Different shifts. Same need for clean hours.
Every operation creates its own working patterns. The Review & Approve → Payroll Ready workflow stays the same.
- Hotels: Reception, Housekeeping, Breakfast, Night shifts
- Restaurants: Kitchen, Front of House, Split shifts, Closing
- Retail: Opening, Peak staffing, Closing
- Facility Services: Multiple sites, Mobile teams, Recurring shifts
- Production: Morning, Evening, Night, Overtime
- Events: Variable hours, Temporary teams, Long event days
Different operations create different working patterns. Timento creates one consistent Review & Approve → Payroll Ready workflow.
Payroll preparation starts long before payroll day.
When schedules, time, breaks, overtime and approvals already share one platform, managers spend less time reconstructing what happened at the end of the period.
- Timento does not process payroll. It prepares approved working-time information for payroll.
- The record is created during the working day, not rebuilt afterwards.
- Exceptions are resolved while the context is still fresh.
- Approved hours move forward through export instead of re-typing.
Questions & answers
Payroll & Reporting questions, answered
Short, factual answers about worked hours, approvals, overtime, exports and reporting in Timento.
Does Timento process payroll?
No. Timento is not payroll software: it does not calculate salaries, pay employees, calculate or file taxes, handle pensions or replace accounting software. Timento manages the workforce data before payroll , worked hours, breaks, overtime and approvals , and prepares it so your payroll or accounting system can take over.
What does Payroll Ready mean in Timento?
Payroll Ready means working-time records have been recorded, reviewed and approved, so they form structured information for the next step. It combines Worked Hours, breaks, overtime, approved absence where relevant and any adjustments, after Review & Approve is complete.
Can managers approve worked hours before payroll?
Yes. Review & Approve is a dedicated step where a manager reviews recorded hours against the schedule, resolves Alerts & Exceptions, corrects records where needed and approves them. Only approved records move forward into payroll preparation.
Does Timento include breaks in time records?
Yes. The complete Clock In · Breaks · Clock Out cycle is registered, including paid and unpaid breaks. Unpaid breaks are deducted from the worked duration, so the worked hours a manager approves reflect the actual working day.
Can Timento track overtime?
Timento gives managers visibility into overtime by comparing worked hours with expected hours, showing totals per employee and per period, and surfacing records that stand out. Timento does not claim automatic compliance with every labour rule or collective agreement , the manager reviews and decides before approval.
Can I export worked hours to Excel?
Yes. CSV / Excel Payroll Export is available, so approved worked hours and related working-time information can be exported for payroll preparation or further processing. Export is an interoperability option; the connected Timento workflow remains the main path.
Does Timento support Tripletex?
Tripletex File Export is available: Timento can prepare and export approved working-time information in a file format for the Tripletex workflow. Direct API synchronisation with Tripletex is a separate capability and is in development.
Does Timento automatically sync with Tripletex?
Not yet. Tripletex Direct API Sync is in development and is not available today. Until it is released, the supported path is Tripletex File Export after Review & Approve.
